Warren Kelly's Photo Art |
![]() |
Born in Portland, Oregon, I entered the US Air Force straight out of high school and made a 20 year career of traveling. My duties put me in touch with computers early on and after retiring from the Air Force I hired on as a computer programmer with Washington State, moving from mainframes to PCs, and networking with the tide of the '80s and '90s.
Shortly after
starting in Olympia curiosity drove me to buy a 35mm
SLR camera at a local pawnshop. From
that time on I’ve had a blast seeing the northwest through the
viewfinders of many cameras, including my latest digital wonder.
At first
I just stored
images on my PC. Later I began "correcting" little blemishes using
various software. I explored features and experimented, producing a
bevy of images that I really liked.
They weren't photographs anymore, but their photographic
origins couldn’t be denied.
I
chose to call them PhotoArt and that is how
my form of "digitally dramatized" original photography
was born.
Connie and I met while attending The Evergreen State College. We wed just prior to her graduation, she's my best and most willing model, appearing in several beach pictures and some of the kayak pictures too. Connie creates art cards using pictures we both take.
I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I enjoy making them. Thanks for stopping by!
